Biographical Info

Dr. Kurt Yaeger is an endovascular neurosurgeon who specializes in treating vascular conditions of the brain and spine — including aneurysms, strokes, and arteriovenous malformations. He's trained in both open neurosurgery and endovascular techniques, a minimally invasive approach that treats these conditions from within the blood vessels, often without the need for open surgery.Dr. Yaeger completed his neurosurgery residency and endovascular fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. While there, he also completed a BioDesign fellowship focused on medical device innovation, work that led him to invent and patent a new devices for treating brain aneurysms and AVMs. Before his medical training, he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree in Biology from Lafayette College. He grew up on the north shore of Boston, Massachusetts.Dr. Yaeger is driven by a simple idea: patients deserve treatment options that are as safe, effective, and minimally invasive as possible. His research focuses on testing and improving new devices for treating brain and spine conditions. He stays closely involved in the development of new technology in his field, and is always looking for effective and less invasive ways to care for the patients in front of him.
